The Right Time for The Right Song

Rick (my friend who I lead worship with) and I have noticed a pattern we keep progressing through. We have a big book of songs that we add more songs to as we hear and like them. So the book has plenty of songs that we haven’t figured out or played. Sometimes we practice a song over and over and it just doesn’t seem to come together. If it doesn’t really cut through the fog for us then we don’t play it. Great I Am by New Life Worship has been one of those songs for awhile. We tried and tried to get that song to work with our acoustics and voices but we couldn’t make it happen. Then out of nowhere we tried it again and it fit together like it was written for our style. We have been through this process over and over again. It has been really cool to see God put a song in our hearts and then have us wait to pour it out. That song has been in us for months but it is just now getting released. That dialogue with God is really refreshing.
